DRIVING INVESTMENT IN STEM TALENT
For 14 years, STEMconnector has stood at the intersection of industry, education, and innovation—driving meaningful investment in our nation's STEM talent pipeline. We've brought together corporate leaders, postsecondary institutions, nonprofits, government agencies, and K-12 educators to create pathways for under-invested communities to thrive in STEM careers. As a professional services firm, we strive to improve our nation’s STEM workforce by leveraging research, convenings, special projects, and consulting services to provide high-quality and actionable resources for key stakeholders within the STEM education’s community of practice.
OUR MISSION
STEMconnector's mission is to accelerate innovative, industry-driven, sustainable solutions for technical and professional STEM workforce development. As the nation’s leading catalyst for collective impact, we drive measurable and lasting improvements in building a sustainable STEM talent pipeline. Leveraging our relationships, knowledge and expertise within our Workforce Innovation & Accelerator Collaborative, we work support employers, educators, nonprofits, and government partners to drive measurable progress to strengthen our nation's STEM talent pipeline.

OUR CALL TO ACTION
The STEM education landscape has shifted dramatically. Shifts in Federal funding priorities and investments have created significant challenges for programs thousands depend upon. AI is fundamentally reshaping education and workforce demands at an unprecedented pace. Our institutions and education systems need immediate and coordinated action beyond incremental improvements. Technical (CTE) STEM talent ecosystem faces unprecedented demand due to major investments in sustainable energy, data centers and defense projects. While there has been some success in improving outcomes, the overall national trajectory remains very challenging. According to a 2025 report issued by Encourage, which surveyed 54,000 students in 8-12th grades across our nation, since 2020 awareness of STEM careers has improved, but student interest has declined. Now, more than ever, we need a cohesive, strategic and impactful approach to address this significant challenge for our nation, our businesses, our communities and our children.
